Co-founder and Managing Director
Anthony’s career path started with him qualifying as an electrician along with City and Guilds qualifications in electrical design and installation. In the 80’s it was best to cover all bases!
After qualifying as an electrician, he worked in the digital networking arena with Mentec digital with responsibilities for data transfer methods and data networks.
His next venture was to set up Wyse Electrics Limited with Colm Buggle in 1989, with Wyse Electrics offering electrical services in the domestic commercial and industrial sectors.
During this time Anthony went back to college at night and received qualifications in electronic and electrical engineering along with computer programming and data transfer methods.
In 2006 Anthony became interested in micro generation specifically Photovoltaic systems. Wyse Solar solutions was set up as a separate entity to pursue this new area.
During this period as the technology was relatively new in Ireland Anthony participated in helping ESB networks draft the new micro generation regulations (2005).
He was also co-designer for the first “EMMA” which is the forerunner to the modern day “immersion diverter” with Mr Tim Cooper. (2007)
Anthony also teaches renewable technology and electrical theory as part of the Electrical Apprentice program and lectures on the subject for various bodies.
Co- Founder and
Director
Colm’s main responsibility is quality assurance and adherence to all industry standards. Colm is a qualified electrician, is also qualified in PV installation and a registered safe electric tester. He has been working on prestigious contracts for the last 45 years.
Colm is Co-Director and is an integral part in the decision-making process to make Wyse solar solutions function to the best of its collective ability.
Customer Service/Office Manager
Customers initial interaction with Wyse Solar is usually with Jessica! For a large part of her employed life, she has worked successfully in the Customer Service and Sales industry.
Jessica is the calm and measured voice in the office, while pulling all the relative strings in the background to deliver the best customer experience possible. Ask Jessica what her goals are, and she will say “as an employee of WYSE Solar Solutions, my work is about ensuring that our clients have the best experience possible from the beginning of their journey with WYSE Solar Solutions and onward”.
Logistics and Stock Control
John has worked for over thirty years in the electrical industry with contractors, wholesalers, and distributors. This includes fifteen years with Legrand Ireland and fifteen years combined working with Howard Collins, Bowen Electrical, Edmundson’s and Kellihers.
John’s main roles included purchasing, logistics and stock control which he has brought to Wyse Solar Solutions to create a seamless supply chain for the smooth and cost-effective running of our solar installations.
SEAI Administrator
Laverne has a rich history in running focus driven programs over several years in the renewable arena in Ireland. Wyse Solar Solutions are lucky to have Laverne oversee the SEAI grant applications process. Laverne manages these administrative tasks and ensures that all paperwork is completed accurately and in good time. Liaising with customers and engineers to prepare and upload all required documentation for our customers SEAI Grant applications.
Financial controller
Jacinta McGovern is our Financial Controller. She has worked for Wyse Electrics Ltd since 2006 with her remit being accountancy services, payroll, and credit control.
Health & Safety
Brian is a qualified Safety Consultant and is employed on an ongoing basis to make sure Wyse Solar Solutions conforms to all health and safety obligations. He also reviews and improves installation methods through his “tool talk” reviews once a Month.
Brian comes from a building back round and concentrated on the safety element of this Business now having a thriving Safety Consultancy business.
Wyse Solar Solutions employ directly between 15-20 engineers and roofers. It is our policy to train our Engineers and roofers “in house” and through officially recognised programmes where possible.
There is a culture of upskilling and retraining constantly in Wyse and all employees are encouraged to participate on relevant courses or “in house” training to be at the top of their respective trades.
Our Engineers and roofers are the face and heartbeat of the company and represent the entire company when interacting with customers on site.
